    Re: Atlas

    How so?

Seems like games have been designed around small groups, transitioning to some degree of larger grouping for raids at end game. Streamers are just playing as people who can really reliably...

    Re: The Smirking Kid

Not much to say about the most of it. Getting mundane now, media running with stories from lesser outlets and using them as a buffer for plausible deniability. Always to push their standard narrative...

    Re: Atlas

Can't respawn on your own boat... wow... that one thing just murdered this whole game for me.

Took me a few deaths to figure out what was going on because I could spawn at the bed on my boat in...

    Re: Atlas

I am pleasantly surprised at the depth of PvE content.

At first I was considering this a PvP-or-what's-the-point kind of game but it's a lot more like Age of Conan, except with more wonky combat....

    Re: So DIVERSE!

Okay, but the point stands. If 50%+ was such a great idea, Democrats would have done it. In the work I do this is basically my day-to-day. People come to me and ask why the one thing they're looking...

    Re: Government shutdown

I didn't know about that particular detail but my suspicion has always been something along those lines. Democrat politicians want bigger/more government. While the news focuses on broadly applicable...

    Re: So DIVERSE!

Yeah, I see what happened when Reagan showed up, but I'm not comfortable putting it all on him. No one reverted them back to this day, where we're still only talking about it. Obama would have put up...

    Re: So DIVERSE!

I'll be honest, after AOC started talking about 70% tax rates I learned how tax brackets actually work reading the blue team's rebuttals.

Tax brackets only apply to the money in that bracket....

Welp... apparently the starter area has massively increased decay rate...

Spent a few hours last night setting up a new sloop as a home/storage space. I knew there was some kind of decay. There...

    Atlas

Did anyone get this? The initial reviews were horrendous but I had heard early patches went well and I was bored so I tried it.

Ships are a neat addition to the survival genre because your ship is...

Re: The End of the MMO Era

Agree with M and A here. Most people associate MMORPG with nostalgia plus the baggage of all kinds of old, bad design or just technical limitations. Star Citizen is the only game I'm aware of that's...

Re: What's everyone been up to?

Mostly letting work rule my life. I keep ending up saying "X-Time Period was crazy busy!" when people ask where I've been. At some point it wasn't just a week or month or quarter anymore, it just...

Re: Conan Exiles : I came....

The major rules you saw on all the custom servers were always not to block spawns/nodes and not to spam foundation blocks claiming tons of land. The devs fixed those though. Decay happens really fast...

Re: Conan Exiles : I came....

Overall pop is not great, but it's max 70 on a server and you get performance problems on full servers so it's not hard to find 40-60 player servers at normal times.

    Fair warning, it's a binger....

Any reason to confine this to the gaming industry? I see this everywhere. Time -> middle management bloat -> focus on metrics becomes more important than tangibles or fundamentals as more and more...
