    Default Kim Jong-Il dies

"We have to be very worried because whenever there is domestic instability North Korea likes to find an external situation to divert the attention away from that - including indulging in provocation."
You think? I am always skeptical about attributing motivations to things that are not real. The idea of "North Korea" having intentions only makes sense as a shot hand way of referring to the motives of it's leader, but that leader is obviously changing. Do you think we should worry the son will attack South Korea because his father died?

    lol. I hope so.

We'll finally be able to get rid of the North Korean government.

Not so sure about that, the people of North Korea aren't exactly poised for rebellion or even thinking about it. They view this death as the death of the son of the Great Leader, which is a national tragedy. From the few documentaries that have been allowed to film inside of N.Korea, it seems the majority of the populace is completely brainwashed into thinking their government and their leaders deserve nothing but praise.

I think Valec ment that we would militarily destroy North Korea if they invaded South Korea and set up our own puppet government. Seriously, I betcha they would love some candy bars. Starvation could make use the great saviors of the nation, and Obama could be the next Great Leader. I can already picture this.

Of course, we'd have to give them plenty of fried chicken. Because I doubt they want fried fish from England.

My personally opinion? Wait and see, I've heard stories that the son is rather westernized, would be interesting to see if he is less severe of a ruler and perhaps even opens the country up. If he does they'll probably be able to get some food, and would eliminate the psychological impact of air dropping fried chicken when the war comes. A smart manauver.

The best part is, we could let the South Koreans do the occupation. It'd be like Iraq but without the fuss.

He has three sons one of them has westernized a bit but has also fallen out of favor. If I remember right.

Wasn't it one of his sons that wanted to push forward with launching an attack on the US?

Either way, a position of great power (if he's really dead) has just opened up, and I have a feeling we are going to get a more fucked up Kim Jong Il
