For those who haven't been paying attention, Tera is a theme park styled persistent world MMO with a few sandbox elements (political system). It has action combat in the vein of a lobby based MMO like Vindictus.

Signed up, hope I get in even though I've heard bad things through the grapevine.

I've seen some stuff from KTera that tempered my enthusiasm quite a bit. It's far too Theme-Parkish in it's world design. Not nearly as much so as SWTOR obviously, but a game like this needs a more dynamic world I think. One thing in it's favor is that a very hardcore segment of the PvP population (AC Darktide/Darkfall/Shadowbane/Mordred) is vocal on their forums and they seem to be somewhat catered to. I'd give the game a decent possibility of launching with a very hardcore ruleset on their PvP servers; not reflective of KTera.

OwPvP with a hardcore ruleset and an action combat system would be tons of fun, although certainly it will lead to lots of hilarity when WoW "hardcore PvP'ers" roll up there. Kill anyone PvP is hilarious and great fun in measured doses.

Only thing that sucks for me is Warrior is a evasion tank. I'm going to miss my dual wield rogue type characters for sure. I'll probably end up rolling a berserker.

They won't give me a key This better not be like all those other MMOs that don't let me in during beta and then expect me to pay box price + sub fee to try the game. Hopefully later phases will have larger invites.
