The first thing I thought when I saw this video was that when this tech first comes out, there is going to be a lot of people just kind of staring off in odd directions waiting for their facebook status to update, and when it crashes they will start yelling "God damn it!" at the fire hydrant.

And I completely agree. In fact I think in the early stages it would be much more feasible if the controls and maybe a few functions were on a wristband/watch kind of a deal.

Tech isn't evolved enough to do any of that. Sure we could probably display a HUD in various ways, but we can't get past stupid things like auto-fill not grabbing the right locations/words, different patch versions not working or not working together, various memory issues causing slow downs and crashes, etc.

Wow, they somehow managed to make augmented reality look completely unawesome. Not only is the type of display unsuitable to gaming but there is the ultra-douchebag aspect of talking to yourself and losing all privacy and personal time.

They really aren't meant for gaming. They're meant for information integration. Basically, everything your cell phone already does, just in a novelty fashion. Hipsters will love it. Everyone else will probably see the flaws and stick to using handheld devices.
