I've stopped. My whole crew faded out so I just kinda lost interest too... solo runs are not fun, although with the monk getting multiple loot drops with exploding palm was fun for a little while. I assume they've fixed it by now though. I have 3 inferno 60's.
Your monk is gonna have to beef up the all resist + fire pieces, every single piece that can have it should have it (there are exceptions obviously and it's a process to build it up, but...), and not 30's and 40's - get better rolls. My monk was at 75% resists and a little lower armor in his maxed out suit, and then swap a couple pieces to his magic find suit with 259 base MF built in (pre stacks) and like 68% resist. I really suggest trying to do something similar for inferno farming; I pick up all yellows and blues and my inventory is always majority yellow items when I'm doing ACT1 in my MF gear. Also, helm of command with a really high +block shield gets you up to mid 30%'s blocking rate, extremely valuable - easy to find tons of variations on them since they're craftable.
I'm no expert or anything but that's what I rolled and it worked incredibly well. The Barb was my first 60, then made a monk when I got a sick 932 life on hit monk fist weapon with 850dps as well, socketed. The monk is such a better tank IMO it's not even close, the resist passive really is incredible. Put that kind of mitigation behind great dodge and blocking 1/3 of the shots in the first place, plus multiple immune abilities and direct heals... conviction for act 1 and evasion for the tougher stuff - it just doesn't get any better IMO. Fuck the Barb.
Been playin Civ5 lately instead on a super long playscale with the new expansion. Enjoyed diablo while it was poppin tho.
I'm sure I'll drift back if some interesting patch hits.
