I knew a HoNbro would get it. Just like in HoN, against certain team comps, spellblock is awesome. Against others, it's friggin' trash.

Just had a LeBlanc game where we crushed. I had a fully charged soulstealer and rabadon's by around 20 minutes. They kept trying to backdoor though so the game was like 45 minutes long. By the end of it they were convinced I was on a smurf account.

Those are the best games. I've almost never seen anyone but myself ever actually give a real compliment to someone else, and they usually assume I'm being sarcastic it's so rare people compliment eachother. Saying you are a pro or practiced premade team that runs the same thing all the time is about the only praise there is, and it doesn't involve insulting their own team mates. Though sometimes they do insult their own team at the same time. :/

Do you ever do Draft pick with random other players?
Where do you stand on 'calling' a position like mid/adc and then someone else who picks first, picking what they called already?

I don't play draft in LoL because I still don't know who counters who. Also, I've tried to do draft a total of three times, and each time someone left during champion selection. Probably because they called mid or jungle or something and then someone FPed a mid or jungler.

As far as calling positions then getting jewed out of your pick, I think communication is the most important part. If someone really wants to play a specific hero or position, then the team should accept it and build around it.

You know how a newb in an mmo doesn't know what everyone is talking about? Well reading through this thread, that's exactly how I felt.

Counter picks aren't as powerful as they are in DotA/HoN, but here's a good resource if you wanted to brush up or need a quick reference: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...any=true#gid=0

The best part was that since we had a 5 man premade (although only 3 of us were in skype, 2 others were basically just people on my friends list so we had 2 randoms) I guess the matchmaking system decided to put us against another one. They were obviously all in skype or vent because they all picked teleport and would teleport to the same minion or ward at the same time and try to gank. By the end they were pretty mad saying Boxy must be a smurf since he was doing so well and that we were obviously a premade ranked team just trolling in a blind pick game saying they played ranked with a high rating, over 1100 wins etc. None of us are even that great or talked smack. Gotta love tryhards.

3rded. Hearing people talk about this genre completely confuses me.

It's an RTS where the computer controls the armies for you. All you have to do is control a hero with basic attacks, six ability buttons, and six item slots. They get xp for being around when the enemy champs or the enemy army guys die, but they only get gold for items if they get the last hit, with a small amount for assisting in killing a champion.

    Basically.

You know how there were heroes in Warcraft 3? You control one of those dudes in a sort of 5v5 arena game where waves of minions constantly spawn to attack the other team's base. You gain XP by killing the opposing team's minions or heroes, and you can buy items to increase the stats of your hero or support your team.

    I love this champion Fiora.

My friends play a ranked duo when I'm not on, and dropped queue to grab me for unranked when I logged on the other night. (THIRTY MINUTE PENALTY TIMER o.o) So we went and made smurf accounts so we could play once. I made a new account for playing only Fiora and am happy to find the low levels just as hillarious as they were when I did it with Pantheon back when he came out.

Had a game before work. At the very beginning, their Nasus ran right up the lane to my tower and tried to dive me at lv1 haha. First blood red carpet for the minions to walk over. Then I marched right over and made the same mistake. I beat on Soraka down to under 100hp, and thought I could finish her under the tower but didn't check her spells. EXHAUST. On Soraka. I don't take my dash move until 3, so my poor lv2 Fiora got stomped unable to land the last hit, unable to chase, and unable to Escape.

The enemy Lee Sin and I both stomped around going roughly 10/2/0 in the early game. He had been talking crap when he got killed saying people would not '1v1' him... so I countered his build and when he was 'LEGENDARY' I just pushed mid alone and let him come for me. Stomped his guts out 1v1 and collected my prize money. Suddenly he was ALL about sticking with his team haha. They won because of it, too. Our Veigar built Tiamat and Malady and insisted on pushing top alone over and over again, theirs went normal AP and had a hard on for me, their Soraka started every encounter by rushing in and DFG'n my face, their Lee learned his lesson and followed them, and their Sivir was usually around. Game went forty minutes but our Lee and their Nasus somehow never hit level ten.

Stomping noobs is fun, and the total chaos encourages discipline. I think I'll be a better player when I get this new account to 30.

Hit platinum two nights ago and played with some pros last night. Was good times to be had. Still pushing to go as high as I can as I haven't hit my peak in skillcap yet, haven't been outplayed super hard yet. My last game was a troll one where we had a jungle eve who fed, but what can you do.
