    Default Music Time Is Now

So I barely visit this shitty forum anymore, but I figured any criticism can help. My band just put out our first album, and I'd like you shit heads to tell me what you think.

Here are the 3 songs we have on the demo, if you actually like them I'd be more than happy to mail an album (12 songs) to you.

I think your people skills could be improved on. I didn't click on the link because your shitty attitude was a swift kick in the nutts of my 'give-a-shit'.

Once that nausea went away, the music isn't bad, but the player is. Keeps freezing on me when I switch songs. The drummer needs to keep up in "God sent hell bent." Kills the energy the guitars are trying to bring.

Also, your profile pic could use some more tits.

    You can thank me later.

    Hey that's pretty good...

I prefer the vocal style on 'What you do', it's more distinctive for the genre.
It's going to be a fine day tomorrow. We will have salad...

It's not bad, sounds like the band that would be playing during a massacre in a B-horror movie, or what's playing on the radio while the college students drive to the cabin. Also, vocal style on What You Do to Me sounds like X-Japan.

You guys are okay but the name of your band is really, really gay.

Sazz is going Sofista style now.
Fire-and-forget threads he'll come back to in a week and make some small comment.

Not bad. It reminds me a little of 90's rock, specifically sort of Better than Ezra.

For the love of God though, change that band name. It is almost too faggot for words. Seriously. I almost refused to listen on the name alone. I truly expected some kind of pussy indie bullshit about being in the friend zone.

I'm pretty amused at all the "shitty attitude" comments.

Really, you guys don't know me by now? Obviously I'm completely serious.

Also, the name stays. Deal with it, fuckers.

So it's how I treat most of the threads you start.

edit: Also, be more specific, you ingrates. I was expecting more than just "not bad". I know we're not bad. I want to know what's really good, what's really bad, what we can do better/different, what you liked, what you didn't like, etc.

edit2: lurking mother fuckers you better comment too. 66 views and only 9 posts, I know you're there.

I'd give you pointers but frankly I just don't really care for the style your band plays. So that's the extent of constructive criticism you'll get from me.

    Go.
    Positives:

    Your bass sound.
    Your style is fairly unique.
You have solo's in your songs.

    Negatives:

Your basslines are fairly simplistic considering the style of music you're playing.
Your solo's are uninspired and sound like you're playing in a box.
Pick a vocal style. Either harsh, melodic or emo.

I can definitely see the similarities between Queens of the Stone Age, but how the fuck do you sound like Metallica? Honestly I peg your sound as a mix between Queens of the Stone Age, Motorhead and Kyuss which is pretty strange to say the least.

Overall, not bad based off my exposure to 3 songs. I'd definitely listen to it if it came on the radio; assuming I still listened to the radio. But that's probably because it sounds like Kyuss which automatically wins for me.

Aim to be like that Japanese yodeling guy and you can't lose.

Also buy your god damn plane tickets before they get super duper expensive. Me and Age have been naked for like 3 straight weeks thinking about you.

Part of the problem with that is that we have 2 separate vocalists, myself and the lead guitarist. I doubt either of us is going to stop but we're working on incorporating both styles into songs to mesh them together.

I think that list is more influences than what we think we sound like.

Good man. I can't wait to see your handsome face, rockin' bod and sexy new tattoos on my doorstep. We're gonna take you out to all the bars and be like, this is our friend he's from the Mid West and has never seen a city before, and you can act all amazed and bewildered at all the buildings and things.

Good luck. Very few bands are capable of mixing those two styles with success.

Honestly, It'd be great to hear a metallica-like band that's not Trivium because Metallica clearly isn't filling that spot.
