Default computer security tools and software?

I just got my first Win7 machine, a new laptop for work, and I am cleaning out the bloatware and installing the odds and ends I need. I am sure I am behind the curve on defensive software and was wondering what people are using to protect their computers.

I have a good AV, Nod32, and am still exploring what Win7 offers that is built in to the OS.
-Agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.

Malwarebytes and Comodo firewall are all you need. Prevent bad getting in, and scan for trojans with malwarebytes before installing apps. If something dodgy gets through regardless, like a silent downloader, prevent it doing what it was intended to before before the damage is done with Comodo.

We haven't had any real computer viruses in years, and even if some new one surfaced you'd haveto explicitly allow it in over Comodo before it could infect you.

Gotta look into getting a firewall. I've been meaning to do that forever now and keep "tomorrow"-ing it.

Unless of course someone has secretly gotten access to your hard-drive and hasn't made it known because they like getting your pictures off of there.

sometimes I get viruses, but I cover my mouth when I sneeze so my PC and the people I'm connected to don't get them.
