Not Worthy! City of Steam - Steampunk MMO in development

City of Steam is a new free to play steampunk style MMORPG in development by Mechanist games. It is a browser game that is powered by the Unity engine. I was given a tour of the game and it looks good, far beyond anything I have ever seen done in a browser before.

Anyway, that is the site to check it out. I also have some access keys for the alpha test going on this weekend.

If your interested in trying the game out, msg me on skype (skype name: chasejcbs09).

Neat. Is it just straight DAoC/WoW MMO, or is there any kind of dodging, aiming, or placing skill templates?

Not really any dodging/aiming that I noticed in the little time I was in the game. Will find out more during the test this weekend What I was most impressed about was the environments and the steampunk aspect.

One character I seen was a caster and his staff had all kinds of gauges and valves on it and he was able to place small Tesla coil turrents.

Hey guys, I'm Ethan with Mechanist Games, the developer of City of Steam, thanks Cross, and nice to see info about our game here. Given current limitations, we don't have active dodging or aiming (beyond passive stats that work to that effect). If they are enough of a community demand and we can incorporate them without sacrificing the accessibility of the game (doesn't increase load times too significantly), we'd look into adding them. Speaking of the skills, if you mean the ability to choose the skills you prefer, then yes, there are non-linear skill trees that allow for customization of which skills you prefer to use and focus on, allowing for more variety between skillsets between different players. If you have any more questions regarding the game, just drop me a line, I'll check it out back and forth.
