What Guild Wars 2 Profession will you be?

Well, I'm settled in.

After trying warrior/ranger/thief for melee, and necro/mesmer/elem for a caster I find I don't really like any of them. Some for skills, others for aesthetics, lots of things just didn't click. Guardian was the class I was least interested in, but I finally tried it and WOW is it fun. Sword/torch is fast and interesting to play.

VKhaun Vex = Sylvari Guardian

Just not sure which to do first...

Did you try those classes out in PvP as well? With all the weapon sets? Some classes, for whatever reason, don't click at first. Granted, I realize that some of them won't suit my playstyle in the long run, but still some of them have more depth than appears at first play through.

I generally think of my Engineer as PvE->WvWvW like a DAoC character, and my guardian as regular PvP like a GW1 character.

I have not touched PvP so far because I have been having fun PvE on the Engineer, but the Sword/X guardian is basically what I wanted from the warrior's axe+shield, (and then ranger/thief). Fast and varied with a touch of support and it looks cool as shit. When I get tired of the PvE I'll get into it with my Guardian and go for a very offensive, even glass cannon, build. Then I'll tone it down towards defense as I find necessary.

Sorcerer in DAoC and Necromancer in EQ.

I'm getting tired of Ranger. I don't feel enough variety with his weapons, and I've only just cleared the starting sylvari area. The main weapon strategies feel constrained and repetitive. I've had a good time with my pet though, I can work well with it. I'm level 27 with Engi and still haven't been bored at all.

That was exactly what I feared most about the ranger.
