I've also noticed a disturbing trend among the paranormal genre. The main character is some female who was abused horribly as a kid but has grown into a stronk woman through it all and now is a badass. inevitably she goes into overly graphic detail about this abuse with her lover, who is enraged and yet tender, gently wiping the single tear that fell out of her eye while telling of these past experiences.

Victim porn is not for me.
I've yet to see or read a reverse harem. Someone asked Michael Scott-Earle about it in his FB group the other day; that was the first time I'd ever even heard of it. He said he has zero interest in writing such a book, and probably never will.

TBH I don't even like regular Harem books that much. I've read quite a few Harem books in the LitRPG genre, but I don't seek them out. Harem does nothing for me, either love or hate, it's just a thing that seems to be. I get the appeal of it, because it speaks to the power of the masculine voice that the readers so often appreciate.

I just finished reading this and enjoyed it. The synopsis was different enough for me to give it a chance. It felt like I was reading an anime instead of a book.

It does start really slow but I never found it boring.

I know you guys don't like LitRPG all that much, but I started writing a series on Royalroad. Of course it's very amateur, but I'm having fun with it so far.

Here is the link if you want to read it:
    https://royalroadl.com/fiction/17974/still-aint-dead

I'm trying to do a couple of chapters a week.

If you guys have any advice for the book, I'd be happy to hear it. Likes and dislikes, etc. I just put a third chapter up, and am already working on a fourth. Its kinda funny because the way the site is set up it kind of motivates you to keep at it.

Also, if you guys set one up and/or start writing let me know. I know Aeinna has written stuff before.

My new goal is to put up a chapter a day. I've managed to put out two today but fried my brain. I've jumped in the rankings from 11,000 to 6,000, garnered some new followers and even a favorite, so that's not too bad.

A book that I read recently that I think you and M will like is about a Necromancer that is dying, an Urban Fantasy series: "Dead of Night" https://www.amazon.com/Dead-Night-Gh...dp/B00KET4TR2/

Hey man, thanks for reading it. I like Litrpg a lot but I don't like it being too complicated with stats and character sheets and shit, so I try to minimize it.

It's all very rough. I'm just banging these chapters out without editing. But even so, there is still a lot more to come! The Aemaru, a male-female techno demon. The cyber-ninja kill team Zeal and Fearless, so much more :P

Alex Mars just made his appearance.

As with most entertainment I consume, I already binged as far as I can go before. I'll see you in six months. Keep at it though for sure, positive feedback on keeping a quick pace story flowing.

I'm about to hit the Brandon Sanderson Cosmere end of content... that's going to be a sad day. I think I need to reread Stormlight Archive with all this new cosmere knowledge now though.

I'm almost tempted to start Wheel of Time since I've never read it. And audiobooks are perfect format for such a lengthy series.

I'm doing two chapters a day. If I can keep it up at this rate, the first book will be mostly written in a month. If I can pull it off, I'll spend another several weeks editing, doing a rewrite and then trying to publish it on Amazon kindle.

Not sure if you guys really care, but so far my story is doing well on Royal Road. I'm up to rank 444 (at the moment) from about 12,000.

So far I've included the Vaw-Khan who is now dead, a mutant bird leader. The Aemaru (Aeinna Marou) a techno-demon that really hates the Juice. Zeal and Fearless (though Zeal is dead) a group of cyber-ninjas that lurk in the shadows and ambush out of no where. And Alex Mars a former gladiator that likes to make a big entrances but then dies instantly afterward.

Reading your book and it is very good. I don't even have one suggestion or complaint. I do like that is is easy to read and fast paced, not everyone got time for a make you think type of book. I haven't even seen any grammar errors, which is unusually before an edit.

Thanks! But if you do see something let me know. I want to make it as good as I can. I'm not one of those fags that gets mad when someone gives negative feedback.

I'll tell you if I see something, apparently I couldn't make two sentences without grammar errors, so I may not be reliable in that area.
