    Post New Fun Political Test:

    http://www.abtirsi.com/quiz2.php

    My results:

You are a: Conservative Libertarian Total-Isolationist Ultranationalist Reactionary
    Collectivism score: -67%
    Authoritarianism score: -67%
    Internationalism score: -83%
    Tribalism score: 83%
    Liberalism score: -67%

    Explanation key:

Collectivism refers economic intervention, whether the society or state should intervene in the economy to redistribute wealth from the more to the less successful. The negative percentages indicate opposition to such intervention.

Authoritarianism refers to state power to control the actions of individuals to prevent them from harming others or themselves, and also to establish the will of the majority over society. Negative percentages indicate opposition to state power.

Internationalism refers to political involvement in other nations or global affairs, either via war, treaty or international organizations. Negative percentages indicate isolationist beliefs, and the belief in national sovereignty.

Tribalism refers to identity or nationalism, favoring your own nation over foreigners. Negative percentages indicate opposition to national or ethnic identity and oriented towards pan-humanism.

Liberalism refers to acceptance of historically illegal or immoral social practices or customs. Negative percentages indicate opposition to such acceptance.

You are a: Socialist Pro-Government World-Federalist Humanist Progressive
    Collectivism score: 67%
    Authoritarianism score: 33%
    Internationalism score: 83%
    Tribalism score: -50%
    Liberalism score: 50%

I can never tell whether to go with the wording or the intention with these kind of things. Then again, answering "no" to anything mentioning "always" or "never" is probably the only thing that kept me from being the complete inverse of Zav.

Too many absolutist statements with Y/N/M as the only options. Pretty sure I said Maybe to 60% of the questions... A lot depends on context. This is what I was refering to in another post how the internet is generally so Black/White when discussing things. You either have to double down, or back off because trying to create nuance is so difficult. Meanwhile the 'title' it gave me actually fits my general perspective fairly well.

Nigger your lack of assertiveness means you will be the first one to die during the zombie apocalypse. On the plus side, you will make a really good zombie (since you eat raw meat).

Have you found your world views shifting as you've gotten older? Leaning more left or right?

    Where to begin...

My living memory consists of a centrist Labour government (1997-2010, Tony Blair), which seemed okay, but sustained its biggest injuries from Iraq and the financial crash, and then a Conservative government ever since (David Cameron, Theresa May), during which time everything seems to have gotten worse. Conservative governmental and economic policies seem to have resulted in a slower recovery at a higher cost to the populace, while privatisation of public services seems mostly to be damaging (healthcare) or failing (trains - which are a bigger deal than in the US). Of course, public services have also been cut (e.g. police), which absolutely definitely has nothing to do with the increase in knife crime, to which we've come up with silly attempts at a solution.

If the government had ever had a license for non-conservative views, maybe I'd have gotten to see things that I thought were good ideas turn out to be bad ideas, but as it is, it's only really been things that I thought were bad ideas in my late teens/early 20s that have since been implemented, many positive metrics have gone down, many negative metrics have gone up and now in my late 20s they seem indeed to have been bad ideas. So, while my world views have shifted a fair bit, my position on the left/right spectrum hasn't been given much reason to move.

I can relate, I was pro-Obama because of how much I felt Bush fucked our country up with Iraq and Afghanistan. Then Obama fucked up just as bad (if not worse) but with the media on his side it didn't seem like it at the time. Only after he left office could I look back and be like, "holy shit, how was I so stupid?". I think Neo-Cons and Neo-Liberals are the same group with a different name.

In this world is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of god hovering from above? Perhaps men have no control even over their own will.

You're right, we are mortal and fragile. But even if we are tortured or wounded, we'll fight to survive. You should feel the pain we feel and understand. I am the messenger that will deliver you to that pain and understanding.

8Values is still the best one I've seen. I haven't moved much on it.

Here is me removing any 'Maybe'.

The problem is these statements generally seem geared to 'oust' far-lefties and centers entirely around established American conservative values.
